The first Speakeasy Fundraiser, sponsored by Ricco Foods, was held on Thursday, November 28th, 2013.  The event was held at The Strathroy Legion Hall, which was graciously donated as the venue for the evening. Over 25 attendees enjoyed an exciting evening of Texas hold-em, refreshments and good company. 

Thousands of dollars in prizes were given out throughout the evening including a $1,500 travel voucher to Martin Thuss.

This unique event generated $6,400 in revenue, which will be used to support expanding breast cancer diagnosis and treatment programs at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.  

“The event was a success, and showed a tremendous amount of promise for future events,” says Ryan Masterman, SMGH Foundation Board Member.  “It was humbling to see how much support we received from both the community and our generous sponsors, and we're optimistic this event will continue to grow to help further support the women of this great community.”

As the presenting sponsor, Ricco Foods generously donated $2,500 towards this fundraiser with plans to continue this support for each quarterly event.

The next Speakeasy Fundraiser will take place on February 20th, 2014 at Caradoc Sands Golf Club from 7:00 p.m to midnight.
